Giant Nauyaca Waterfalls by private guided Tour
Is a MUST DO! The Nauyaca Waterfall is a Spectacular double decker falls with a gigantic swimming hole set in the rain forest. Our own guide takes our guests hiking from the back roads in rural Costa Rica through virgin rainforest to discover one of the largest waterfalls in the country. Swimming hole at this gigantic waterfall is amazing – get under the waterfall!
We leave the Hotel around 8:30am right after an early breakfast. On the way we will pass Diamante Falls the largest Waterfall in Costa Rica – set into a steep hill of virgin rain forest called the “ Fila de Tinamaste”. The trip starts in the mountains about 30 minutes from the Waterfall Villas by the idyllic town of San Salvador. From there we continue into the rural countryside until reaching the trail that takes us through pristine rain forest to the Nauyaca Waterfalls about a 1 hour hike. You will discover many native plants and animals on route to the falls.
Picnic lunch included. *Good physical condition required. Moderate to challenging hike – on the return the hill is steep, and requires very good cardio condition.

Manuel Antonio private guided Tour
Takes you to one of the most famous parks in Costa Rica as it is full of monkeys and tropical wildlife and a white sand beach inside the park with little or no waves. Manuel Antonio is just 30 minutes drive from the Waterfall Villas. Our guide will show you through the park and point out many hard to spot animals without a trained eye, and he will provide a professional telescope to get some close up views. Our guide is an expert on Costa Rican wildlife. Tour includes transfers. You can purchase lunch at the many restaurants outside of the park. Swing with the monkeys, and have a great lunch on the beach!
Cost: $150 per person. Minimum 2 persons. Additional time after the tour ends is $20 per hour for a waiting driver – first 30 minutes Free 🙂

The Quetzal Reserve tour (only March – April/ May)
High in the Cerro de La Muerte mountains is one of the most beautiful highland areas where the Mayan sacred bird the Quetzal have chosen their habitat. During April these birds are found caring for tier young and can be seen easily returning to their nests. This guided Hike leaves the Waterfall Villas at 5am and you will have breakfast and lunch on the tour at selected local restaurants.
Cost: $175 per person. Minimum 2 persons.

Corcovado National Park Tour
Begins by boat through the mangroves of Sierpe about 40 minutes’ drive from the Waterfall Villas. Tour leaves at 6am. You will also pass through the ocean just past the mangroves to enter to the closest park entrance. 3 hours of amazing hike with naturalist guide through the Park w/ lunch included. Many animals and including the Scarlet Macaws can be seen. This tour leaves the Waterfall Villas at 6am. If you are Vegan/ raw foodist do ask for a lunch to-go the day before – pick up your lunch to put in your fridge after dinner (additional cost if not included in yor packge).

Bird Watching in the Baru Wildlife Reserve
This guided tour starts very early at 5am to catch sight of many rare tropical rain forest birds. This tour is a bird watcher’s dream.
Cost: $45 per person. Transfer to Tour is $20 each way.

Cano Island Reserve
Is one of the highlights of the Southern region of Costa Rica. This pristine national park has the most incredible diving and snorkeling in Costa Rica with 65 feet visibility. White sand beaches and crystalline water are only 15km from the shores of the Ballena National Park about 75 minutes from the shoreline. Here you can swim with dolphins, see turtles, glimpse at manta rays, and bask in vibrant colors amongst a plethora of tropical fish. This boat tour is spectacular! The tour will provide all of the required equipment. There will also be time to enjoy the beach. If you hike to the other side of the island you will view a very jagged coast. This island is uninhabited, and only the ranger is allowed to stay there over night. Lunch is included. Tour starts at 6am from the Waterfall Villas. If you are Vegan/ raw foodist do ask for a lunch to-go the day before – pick up your lunch to put in your fridge after dinner (additional cost if not included in your package).
Cost: $125 per person for snorkeling. OR $150 for diving (2 tank dives). Transfer to Tour is included. Breakfast is not included.

Dolphin & Whale Safari
Tour starts at the Ballena National Park – guaranteed to find Dolphins! Humpback migratory Whales sighted from July – Oct from the south pole migrations and visit in the hundreds, and then again in March – April from the northern hemisphere. August is Whale breeding and birthing month. Over 250 of these mammals reach Dominical waters in August!
Cost: $125 per person. Transfer to Tour going to and from Uvita $40 each way.
